TL;DR: If you get worked up over hindsight, you're one of those that need it the most.
The only people who are angered by hindsight, are morons who are slaves to their own ego.
The point of hindsight is to learn from your fucking mistakes, and/or prevent you from making stupid fucking decisions.
So if you have the grand choice of getting a free cupcake or having to fight a burly-ass murderer for 100 cupcakes, then you'd probably just settle for the single cupcake.
However, if you're a stupid moron who is a slave to your own ego, you'd probably try to fight the burly-ass murderer, because you think you can take him on, 'cus your narcissistic ego tells you that you're superior to the burly-murderer… And get your ass shanked half to death for trying.
Basically hindsight is there to tell you "i told you so, maybe next time, don't make such a fucking retarded mistake." because you really should've known better WITHOUT the input of hindsight. 😛
Or in the case of you simply making two guesses, and you have no insight or education into which choice is the correct one… At that point it's simply a matter of trial and error, and hindsight is what makes you learn from it.
If you tell "captain hindsight" to shut the fuck up, you wont learn a fucking thing, ever… So it's a very retarded thing to do.
I know someone who loses their shit if i take the role of captain hindsight.
Dude makes a reckless mistake, gets frustrated over it… I tell him "I told you it was a bad idea, maybe you shouldn't have done it?" then he'd lose his temper and say something like "*Childish imitation of me*, do you realize how useless that is to me? You think i don't already know that?! Shut the fuck up!" at which point i tell him this:
"Well, clearly you didn't know it, seeing as you made the mistake, regardless… Ignoring common sense in favour of, your ego? Because… Why? If you already knew this, why did you make this mistake? Stop whining about hindsight, without it, you wont learn, dumbass. Here's some more hindsight, maybe you should fucking listen to people when they tell you that what you're doing is a bad idea? It's common fucking sense, and you keep ignoring it, so i will give you hindsight, because you clearly fucking NEED IT!" 😛
