Guys i thought it was a stem ppvp. I don't know who stampede land down on that. Is i missed it. I missed the second cloud it doesn't matter.

I just need to make sure i land in the water. I can't even see it though. Oh, no, no, i'm not going to go under shooter. I'm like how do i know about the long hair, the mbvp i spent hours playing with stimpy pvp.

He played overwatch man. He tried to go pro upper, i'm pretty sure man we played with them all day. Man, 9.34 million subscribers 50 000 views per video, a creator who popped hard in the early days of youtube and was slowly forgotten as the youtube landscape evolved. But how did it happen? How did stampy go from getting millions of views per video in 2013, 2014 and 2015 to barely being able to pull a hundred thousand views in recent times? Was it the lack of innovation on the channel or the fact that his passion just fell out of creating video game content over time? Uh? One thing is minecraft for me kind of just it isn't the same as what it used to be basically and if i'm not having fun playing, i'm not gon na play it.

This video will cover the rise and fall of stampy longhead, which begins in the year of 2006. Just one year after you guys had to say youtube. You guys guys we're one of the first videos such as i feel i feel like this way a lot, but about uh, youtubers and streamers. I feel like a lot of them missed out on all the juice, i'm sorry the juice.

That is this era of like the sponsors, the hashtag adds the things they could do with that with uh with rev guys. This is like the era of juicing, the out of the water zuma, the original stampede channel. They missed by his sliver. Fourth of august 2006.

Only eight months after the official launch of youtube in december 2005., the name stampy long nose came from an animation that stampy created when he was younger, where there was a character named stampy longhead. I got the name from a character in an animation. I'd made called stampy longhead when stephenie first began youtube at the age of 15. He was very similar to a lot of the other creators at the time, creating low quality, far from impressive videos just for the fun of you yeah.

These guys are beginning raw irl, skits and just general mucking around this eventually transitioned into claymation and stop motion sprays. Just like durandaran. This initial channel stampy long knows was stampy's main focus for five years, while at university and doing bar work. He would upload videos on the channel for fun.

Never any monetary reasons. It was never a business plan of mine about anything. How am i out of touch? I do youtube and twitch to add a decent level. I know what it is like man, i'm doing it as a job.

It was only when it started to become popular where, like i saw there, they missed out on the juice, don't explain that he didn't have much time to create and edit videos for the stampy long nose channel, and he wished that he could create a new channel And just do lower effort, let's play that so for this one, like five or four years ago, chad guys the biggest swishers had like 10k subs if you're an insane juicing these days, everybody and their grandma has 20k plus primes plus juicer plus bits plus donald plus Ass crack everybody's juiced up man season on the 29th of july 2011, the now popular stampy long head channel was created. However, stampy didn't upload his first video on the channel for a whole year following, but on the 2nd of july 2012. He uploaded his first. Let's play video of the game journey hello.
This is stampylongnose and welcome to a let's play of the playstation network. Game called journey and, as many of the comments say, a legend was born stampy uploaded various games on the channel, such as call of duty, black ops, hello, stamper logos here, bringing you a call of duty, black ops gameplay. This is a super quick free fall on the map, nuketown and halo. It could be a case of next kill, wins, there's only seven seconds left.

All players on 23 kills. If it's a draw, we're gon na go into a rematch stampy continued to play and upload videos of these variety games until he eventually found a new game that he would come to love and gain mass popularity from a game that was taking the world by storm. Both socially and on the youtube platform stampy found the game minecraft in may 2012, six months after it was a chat released in november two at the time. My friends would play this.

Okay and uh everyday would say: yo dude come on play minecraft and i would go home and i would google mindcraft and i delayed me playing with them for months, because i just couldn't find the game, i'm not i'm not downloaded minecraft. I just couldn't find it on xbox and was completely addicted only three days later. It probably took me about three days before i was completely addicted to minecraft and minecraft is where stampy really started to blow up on youtube. Sorry, i'm not getting into this! I started getting 50, then 100, then 200.

stampy enjoyed minecraft because he had the ability to do whatever he wanted in the game, which gave him a freedom kind of mind, frame that translated into chilled out light-hearted commentary. Videos, it's just the fact you can do whatever you want in it. It's not. There's no story, you just you play it's like playing with lego, you're, just playing in your own world, and it's amazing.

I love it. Stampy became so successful when creating minecraft content, because what he did was take a game that already had a young target audience minecraft and added commentary that perfectly suited the audience of the game. He made minecraft youtube videos that almost felt like a kids show, and at the time there weren't that many youtubers that had the ability to be as engaging as stampy like a playskool or kids show host talking over a minecraft video. I i guess i just make everything just a bit bigger and brighter than it normally is.
I come up with stories within the game. I give people lots of ideas for things that they can play with their friends, and i just talk about the things that, however, making videos for a younger audience began to restrict stampy as well. He had to stop playing games that were targeted at a mature audience and also became family friendly. Why? I still noticed that a lot of children were watching and as soon as i noticed that i did like an immediate switch stampy continue to upload minecraft guys.

That is the that that's just a big no-no, that's the you have to do. I'm sorry. I said you have to do the opposite: videos throughout 2012 growing slowly from the start. The pets would complain.

Okay, then take your child and give restrictions and don't let them watch the content if they have an account. That's family owned, unsubscribe you're, the parent. Why is the creator and if you're raise your child, you dumb somebody youtube raise your kid. You all the way until the end of the book of my parenting, 2013.

now 2013 was a very notorious and significant year for the uprise of stampy. Stampy began to collaborate with other minecraft content creators at the time, such as ballistic squid, beginning in so 2013. might hear someone they're stuck in a house. Ninja boy come on squid! Try to do it with that guy.

Let's go piece of cake. Stampy also introduced the youtuber alfa lee into his videos. Firstly, as a collaboration, hello, lee are you okay down there highly laying stampy appear to have a really good bond, and lee would feature in many of stampy's videos, which is very important to remember, for when we cover the downfall. Section of this video stampy's channel was also completely deleted in december 2013, following false reports relating to breaking youtube community guidelines.

This deletion resulted in mass campaigns from his fans and even the creator of minecraft, which was an attempt to get stampy's channel back online with multiple videos and even a save stampy hashtag. Thankfully, on the same day, stampy's channel was reinstated. The deletion of stampy's channel actually proved to be a positive forum, considering it was only gone for one day and he got a load of free publicity from the situation because of this, along with a very strong year in 2013, stanby hit 1 million subscribers in january 2014, which was obviously an amazing feat considering he had only started the channel 2.5 years previously in july 2011., however, 1 million subscribers was just the start of the journey for stampy as 2014 would prove to be an absolutely monumental year for the channel. If you saw stampy's videos by most viewed pretty much, every single video at the top is from 2013 and 2014.

with his notorious videos, including minecraft school day, 26 million views, as well as ocean adventures, with 49 million views, which both came out in 2014.. Stampy went from 1 million subscribers in january 2014, all the way up to 5 million subscribers in february 2015, approximately 1 million subscribers every 3 months in 2014.. However, despite hitting 5 million subscribers in 2015, this would also be the same year where the downfall would begin for stampy, hmm and there it is game and you're watching a video of them. What is up alert nation killer? Keemstar? Let's get right into the news.
Let's start with stampy cat stampy cat is a popular popular kid friendly, youtuber and stampy cat also has a good friend known as l for lee. Now recently, lee removed his twitter account and disabled comments on his youtube videos, and this is why an article came out yesterday, titled the irvine minecraft pervert terrorized, his surrogate ant in sick facebook campaign. There's always some sort of drama alert report in these downfall. Videos.

Isn't there boys in 2015 accusations began springing up for one of stampy's main collaborators elf elite lee carson, aka l fleet was one of the main stars on stampy's channel he'd been accused of sending lewd photos to females, as well as other accusations along similar lines, turns Out lee carson wasn't really the kid-friendly youtuber that was initially portrayed on stampy's channel now. It seems as though a lot of the accusations of the psa are not completely accurate. Regardless alfalee's reputation fell off a cliff following the articles and videos on him. This resulted in elderly leaving stampy's world in channel because he didn't want to tarnish dampies reputation.

The reason i left stamp is was woven because i didn't want to get him a bad reputation. I didn't want to see him doing bad. I wanted his success and his achievement to still go well, because that was the main thing i wanted to see. Uh staff to do is, you know, be successful since stampy had a very young audience at the time.

Most of stampy's audience didn't really understand the seriousness of the allegations before l for lee left stampy's world stampy was getting around 4 million views per video when lee left stampy's average views dropped to around 1 million per video, a drop of around 75 percent uh dear Stampy, i'm afraid to tell you that i am leaving. I have been your number one helper for years, but i feel like you no longer need me. I am going to travel across the world looking for people that need help. I will also try and track down hit the target, so you and your dogs will be safe thanks for all the fun lee bear.

I left you a present in the in the chest. You're leaving lee bear following this. What seemed to happen in 2015 was the motivation just seemed to dry up the stamping the 75 drop in views would have taken a toll on his desire to make content, considering it would have felt like fighting a sinking battle on top of this, it's possible that He might have completed some of the goals he set for himself for the channel, such as 5 million subscribers. These might have been the reasons for why stampy began to pursue other entrepreneurial endeavors in 2015, such as his first book, which was titled stampy's lovely book, published in october 2015..
This was accompanied by a spin-off, professionally produced educational youtube, channel called wonderquest in april 2015.. Hello. This is stampy and welcome to my new channel wonderquest. However, while these might have been in addition to his personal achievements, they were a detriment to his main youtube channel.

Steve yeah, even though producing this alternative content gave him less time to post content on the main channel. So from 2015 the uploads began to slow down a little bit. On top of this, posting alternative content in 2015 might have given off the indication that stampy had a lower desire to play minecraft and make videos which usually proves to be a detriment to the goodwill of a youtube channel regardless on these videos. What, if i streamed? One or two days less a week, and instead you guys got some stickers about that 2015., which continued all the way up until 2017..

On the 12th of march 2017, stampede released, a video called is my channel dying discussing the drop in views between 2015 and 2017., and that is, oh, my god? Yes, that yeah. That is way too aware. I that jesus is dying discussing the drop in views between 2015 and 2017., and that is whether my channel is dying. A lot of people have been saying that my views have been dropping a lot.

It's nothing like it used to be, and you know gradually. My channel is going to to fade away into non-existence or die. Basically, no one's going to be what stampy explained that he didn't really care that he had a loss in views because he was still loving, making videos. I really don't care very much like um nothing's changed like nothing's changed from from when you know i was getting more views.

I make videos in the the exact same way. Stampy then states towards the end of the video that he has no intention of changing his style or the way he creates his videos. What am i going to do about it? That's kind of the next question. My views are: dropping i'm not really going to do anything like, as i kind of said you know, i don't.

I don't really care that much like. However, this lack of innovation might not have been the smartest play for stampy, considering his views would only continue to dwindle. From here, stampy then announced on the 6th of august 2018 that his lovely world series, the series that blew him up to fame and was getting millions of views from 2013 to 2015, was going to go from two uploads per week to one upload. A strong articulation for the drop in stampy's motivation lovely world for pretty much the the first time since i started doing it is going to be going down to only one video a week.
Stampy explained that he didn't really enjoy playing minecraft anymore, which was a bit of a blow to his fans that had supported his minecraft series over the years. There's one or two reasons that i've kind of decided to do this. One thing is minecraft for me kind of just it isn't the same as what it used to be and if i'm not having fun playing, i'm not going to play it. Stampy also outlined that he was originally doing one video per day, which went down to three per week, then eventually down at two per week, which was another sign of the slow decline of his channel and motivation kind of gradually doing less than this minecraft.

Of course, you know back in the day i used to do a minecraft video every single day. At the moment it was three videos a week. That's going to be going down to two guys guys. I wonder i wonder if his views and his channel success was going up with the with the with the gradual incline of minecraft right and since his viewers are growing up, he didn't like uh.

I grew up with his videos, type of thing and kind of remained too much the same and because because the the rate of the of the of my growth overall slowed down, then he's cut off at the legs. Then uh right. Following that's kind of what i'm saying, dropping his weekly videos from two to one, he then announced in christmas 2018 that he'll be completely stopping minecraft and general gaming uploads in order to focus on writing his book. If you haven't heard, i am taking a break at the moment from doing minecraft videos, as well as just most gaming videos on my channel uh.

The main reason for that is because i am trying to write a book and basically, i needed a little bit more time and i have been making a lot of videos over the the last six years and kind of thought that i earned a little bit of A break anyway. He then signs off the video by saying that he apologizes for the lack of uploads and that once he's finished, writing he'll get right back to where he left off. I will be returning at some point, probably uh next year, to kind of continue where we left off uh to carry on playing minecraft as well as uh yeah, some other games on my channel. But, however, this doesn't always work on youtube as intended.

It's not like a music artist where you can take two years off to write an album, come back and still be relevant if you take two years off on youtube and try to pick back up from where you were you'll, probably find out that you've been forgotten About pretty quickly, then 2019 proved to be a far from prolific year for stampy, only posting a total of 10 minecraft videos for the year with a few live streams thrown in. However, there was something iconic that happened in 2019, which is integral to the story. Stampy released a second version of the my lovely world series called my lovelier world, which began with two videos: an introduction and a tour of his world gaining seven hundred thousand and one point one million views respectively. Could this be the return of stampy and his minecraft glory? Well, as it turned out? Not really that solid view count around the million mark, wouldn't really last yeah, also guys it's almost impossible, because uh guys is it after the client on top of that people watch other people right and because, because the genre and the video started widening in interest a Lot of people did it and did it better and there was more to watch and more.
The variety and people just spread out. Man is what it is man all. The third episode got 300 000 views by episode. 6.

It wasn't cracking 200 000 views and by episode 17 it was stop with the shawshank mode man you imagine a bit of i mean i'm that dead, ass man, i'm like this man, you just smiling all the time i back in 2014, then within the last few Months, stampy has transitioned to doing almost solely live stream content, which only get around 50 to 100k views a representation of the sign of the times for stampy. So then it creates the closing argument. Why did stampy's channel drop from 10 million views to 50 000 views? In recent times, i think this comment sums it up perfectly. His channel didn't die.

We all just grew up stampy's now, 29 years old, turning 30 this year he's at an age. Now, where the desire to play kids, i feel like he stopped himself from going up in his videos on purpose, to appeal to what's going on. Now people grow past them. This is kind of weird.

I don't know. We've basically just observed a slow drop in motivation over time for stampy. This slow drop in motivation reflects in his desire to make content as well as the energy he portrays within his videos, regardless sampi has a special spot in a lot of our hearts and i'm sure he has big things planned for the rest of his life. He's not like some of the other youtubers we've reviewed here, where you can't really see them having much of a future regardless.

My thoughts would be that stampy's youtube endeavors are coming to an end and he'll move on to a bigger and better project, soon so snappy from everyone watching you guys it wasn't, wasn't a job with lee again uh recently like last year or something like that. Best of luck, man, thanks for the nostalgia old pal, whatever good things come to you in the future, i'm having somebody else, no, not lee cox because he's a nobody he's a nobody tonight. Give me.
