Yeah, I'll trust the brilliant people working @ Apple more than a douchebag like you who hasn't spent a second with the product. This is something they've been working on for close to a decade, and it looks MILES ahead of anything today in the same category. I doubt they "messed up". Any downsides are because they are hitting the limits of technology today. To me they seem like the most reasonable possible decisions. Everyone who has actually tried this has said they were utterly blown away. These are people who have tried every headset out there. This is another category of product, and in another league. Yeah it's pricey, but that will come down. Important thing is that they're establishing the platform, ecosystem, and the floor for the technology. But yeah, some guy who blows his nose with his shirt (gross) over and over is saying they messed up, so must be true. You can't afford a fucking Kleenex box?

I do agree that Apple is one of the few that can pull this off, and that's mostly because of their ecosystem. I bet the vast majority of people who buy this will get it because of how well it works with other Apple products, not because they specifically want a VR headset
