Death Stranding is an action game developed by Kojima Productions. It is the first game from director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after their disbandment from Konami in 2015. It is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 by Sony Interactive Entertainment in November 2019, and for Microsoft Windows by 505 Games in 2020. The title of the game is a reference to the cetacean stranding phenomenon.
Death Stranding is set in an open world, which also includes multiplayer functions. Kojima compared the genre to how his earlier game Metal Gear – now considered to be a stealth game – was called an action game during its release because the stealth genre was not considered to exist at the time.
People have created "Walls" and become accustomed to living in isolation. Death Stranding is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the "Strand" or connection. As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or "Strands" with other players around the globe. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you'll come to understand the true importance of forging connections with others.
Actors Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Troy Baker, and Lindsay Wagner provided motion capture, 3D scannings and vocal performances, while film directors Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn are also featured.

Xqc could be presented with a sign pointing to the most pristine road that'll lead him to his destination in under 5 minutes only to ignore it and follow his poorly made beeline of a waypoint that drags him through dangerous and rugged terrain, delaying the delivery by half and hour.

I know it's been a year, but for those who don't know the chiral artist was played by an Instagram model. Malaciel is a Japanese citizen and acquaintance of Hideo Kojima. She had very little knowledge of both acting and English prior to her appearance in Death Stranding. I'm certain the Japanese praised her for the delivery of her lines (Japanese people struggle with English cause the way it's taught in schools sucks and they only need it until the (written) university entrance exam), but it's still far from professional acting. That being said I'm not hating on Malaciel. It's unlikely that Kojima productions or Malaciel herself might've had enough time and money to give her extensive training just for one role. It's not like with Justin Timberlake who wanted to go all-out on cinema acting and gave it 200% cause he legit wanted to act well in many films.
