5. This is why i think people that falsely accuse somebody should serve at the very minimum the same prison sentence as the innocent party. Ideally double the term. You can give me the whole, "B-b-b-but that will make it so victims don't feel comfortable coming to the police" absolute bullshit but i think falsely identifying somebody as a criminal and taking literal years off of their life, potentially ruining relationships in their life should be met with extreme consequences. The police and prosecutor should also be held accountable when the only evidence is based off of one person's word and no actual evidence. They should be immediately fired and stripped of any 401K and benefits they recieved from their job
