For context, at least in current days, An Armonia class ship (Previously Concordia class, but OBVIOUSLY there's a reason why the name was changed,) Can run you from 229 per person, up to nearly 2300. It depends on the route they take, as it seems the 229 is for a three day cruise, and 979 is for a seven day. Mentions of class are not listed here, but including taxes and amenities they change while on ship, You could easily spend 3000 on one of this trips. Obviously, that doesn't work out math wise, so let's just go with a respectable figure, where the average person goes onto the ship, enjoys themselves a little, eats, and gambles a bit, saying they spent 400 for a three day cruise. Obviously, they're making way more, but we'll go for a safe number. Now, there are maintenance days, and docking days, so let's say she's only sailing 300 days a year. They can house up to 3006 people, but obviously, we can't always assume they have max capacity, so let's just go with 2500 people per trip.

   400 / 3 = 133.3 per day.

   133.3 x 2500 = 333,333.33 per day. Now that's multiplied by 300 for the total days sailed. Assuming everyone is a cheapscape, they're looking at a profit per year of 100,000,000. 100 million dollars. It easily made MORE, this is just an assumed minimal figure. Some tickets go for 2200 just to START for a seven day cruise. Assuming you got like 100 big fish aboard…

   2500 / 7 = 314.28 turns into 31,428 since it's 100, so you just move the decimal over 2. That'd offer 9,428,571 dollars, just shy of 10 mill. There's everything in between, shops, restaurants, gambling, and what have you, so It'd be a safe bet to assume per ship, per year, they could easily pull 110,000,000 dollars a year, or 110 mil. It could earn less, it could earn more, but that's a good bet. If this is the case, the Costa Concordia sailed it's virgin voyage at the 14 of July, 2006. It's final day was 13th of January, 2012. 5 years, 6 months. Assuming previous figures…

   110 mill times 5.5 … 605,000,000 would have been her total pull under minimal profit. She would have just barely paid herself off… This doesn't include stocking, fees, insurance, maintenance, salary of crew members, and the cost of the clean-up. For her to have fully paid everything off, she would have needed to have sailed another two years or so. To have handled her own disaster, She would have needed another two decades. This hurt… A LOT.
